someone asked me today what kind of doctor i’d like to be. f’real?Asian-American executives too often find themselves fighting to disprove the “model minority” stereotype, a group that works hard, is rarely controversial, but ultimately is not “American” enough for leadership opportunities.Or, like, to any Asians.
I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten “No, where are you really from?” or, my personal favorite, “What kind of Oriental are you?”
