This afternoon, as I stood in my kitchen making my lunch, I lamented the fact that today, the start of this exciting Project 365 blog for me (yes, I know I’m a month late. Whatevs), was going to be a mundane picture. “I’ll probably end up posting a picture of this stupid salad I’m making. Ugh, how boring” I thought.
2 hours later, I emerged from the Emergency Room at Fletcher Allen and hopped into my awesome friend’s car. In the midst of my emo-angst, I had cut a small section of my thumb and, when it wouldn’t stop bleeding, decided to head to the ER. All is well now, save for the annoying gauze and the minor dull pain.
Waiting for the doctor, I reflected on a number of things that I won’t bore you with now. Most of all, I feel so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing network of family, friends, and coworkers coworkers (isn’t it amazing how often those all intersect?) that drop everything they’re doing to help me in my time of need.
Certainly not a boring day. The best part? Coming back and eating that salad. Om nom nom.
