It snowed today. A LOT. I spent most of the day in a frenzy getting work done in the office (luckily, my office is about 100 feet from my apartment and I don’t have to go outside), trying to finish up my reading for my evening class, and hoping with the earnest of a 4th grader for a snow day. No such luck. I wallowed in my self pity sitting on the bus on the way to class. When I got off the bus, though,  I realized that, though I had spent most of the day dreading leaving my building, I had completely forgotten how wonderful and enchanting snowfall can be. Some of my favorite memories from my undergraduate years at the University of Illinois are walking on the quad at night during a quiet snowfall- it was enchanting, peaceful, and absolutely perfect.
Here’s my reminder to myself that, as I head into not only another snowfall on Saturday, but also my last few months living in Vermont, to enjoy the simple beauty of a snowfall.
Oh, and to appreciate the hilarity of students. That post-it Mario in the window definitely brought a huge smile to my face! Zoom
